west mountain inn

Allie and Scott were married at a location that is new to Nectar & Root this year: the West Mountain Inn in Arlington, Vermont. Allie was so sweet and easy going to work with. She really gave us plenty of creative freedom. I can still remember how she first described the inn, as a jumping off point for inspiration: gardens, floral wallpaper, wood paneled rooms and antique bedspreads. Based on this description as well as Allie's request to incorporate yellow-toned roses in memory of a grandfather, Nectar & Root put together a stunning collection of blooms for this couple: fragrant lilacs and jasmine, clematis, chocolate-scented cosmos, pungent spruce, tiny bobbing heads of chamomile, rust colored pansies, peonies, marigolds, and golden ranunculus with garden roses. Despite the pouring rain leading up to the start of their ceremony, our staff wove a natural, organic array of flowers on one of our wrought iron arbors which we love renting to couples for a romantic garden style aesthetic. The rain stopped just in time for them to have their ceremony outside still. This event is a great illustration as to why spring blooms in June are such a delight. Stunningly captured by one of our favorite photographers, 822 Weddings. As you will notice throughout our portfolio, Kelly does an incredible job photographing not only her couples, but also the setting of each event and the flowers that we are lucky enough to create for some of the weddings she photographs. I am still blown away by what a magical place this venue has proven to be, and I am so grateful Kelly was there to capture it!
